Condensed Living Anatomy Notes- Part 1

For the second exam in the Living Anatomy class, we have been learning about muscles of the neck, spine, face, and breathing muscles.

Here is a condensed version:

Sternocleidomastoid
Origin: Manubrium and mid clavicle
Instertion: Mastoid

Masseter
O: Zygomatic Arch
I: Angle and ramus of the mandible

Temporalis
O: Temporal bone fossa
I: Coronoid of the Mandible

Quadratus Lumborum
O: Iliac Crest and Iliolumbar ligament
I: 12th rib and transverse process (TP) of L1-4

Diaphragm
O: xiphoid process
I: central tendon

Rectus Abdominus
O: pubic symphasis
I: cartillage of ribs 5-7, xiphoid process

Transverse Abdominus
O: ingunial ligament, iliac crest, thorocolumbar fascia, cartillage of lower 6 ribs
I: linea alba via abdominal aponeurosis

External Obliques
O:Lower 8 ribs
I: Linea alba via abdominal aponeurosis

Internal Obliques
O: Iliac Crest, lumbar vertebrae
I: linea alba via abdominal aponeurosis
