Back from a vertigo encounter! Herbs and Yoga to the rescue!

Sorry that I have not had a chance to update you on what is going on...
About two and a half weeks ago, I came down with a horrible case of vertigo that lasted a little over 5 days. This was the worst vertigo attack that I have ever had. Just walking down the stairs was a major labor.

On the fourth day, I decided to take a trip down to the herbal pharmacy in Allston, MA. Through Eastern diagnosis, the pulse is a very informative signal that can inform the practitioners of all the imbalances of the chi flow in the body. In Allston there is a doctor named BJ Wang and he owns a store called E Shan Tang Herbs, Inc. If you already know what herbs you need or you have a prescription, you can bring it here to have it filled. You can also sit down with the BJ Wang and have him feel your pulses of the different meridians and he will write you a prescription there. You have the option of taking the herbs in the form of tea (which they boiled down and proportion for you) or if you will have trouble drinking the tea, because it is not the tastiest thing, you can also take the herbs in pill form. They are both effective, however the tea is much more efficient in healing your imbalances.
If you want to learn more about this store or about different herbs, please visit their website.

I chose to take the tea and tough it out. Two days after I began the 10 day regimen of the tea, I decided that I needed additional work on my energy, so that I could maintain health in between these prescriptions. I decided to begin Bikram Yoga. This is an intense style of yoga performed in a very hot room. I decided to try a studio not so far away from me. It is called Yoga For You. They have a great new student special which allows you to try it out for four consecutive days for $20. That's 5 dollars per class, when the rate is usually $15 for a drop in per class. If you love it, don't worry about the $15 price, because there are several different packages available at lower costs.

The transformation just after a week and a half of this class is amazing. Prior to this class, no one would ever see me awake before 11 am and even then I'd feel tired and fatigued all day. I had problems sleeping a full 8 hours and things just didn't feel right. Now, I have no problems waking up whenever I need to, and this 90 minute class only adds loads of energy to my day. I prefer the 7:30 am classes, which my family and friends just didn't believe that I could even be alive at that time, because it livens up the whole day and makes me feel great. I recommend this to everyone! Any age and any fitness level.

If you've had experiences with different herbal teas or Bikram yoga, I'd love to hear about them. Leave comments and I'll get back to you.
